McMinnville business co-owner and wife arrested for theft

Cookeville, TN (WDEF) –  Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents started looking into the theft of funds from a McMinnville business.

Agents found that co-owner Charles Mayfield, Jr. and his wife Shirley were responsible for the theft from Tennessee Easel LLC.

It happened between November 2008 and November 2014.

The Mayfields face one count of theft over $250,000 each.

They turned themselves in Wednesday.

They’re in the Warren County Jail.

Bond was set for both of them at $297,000.
