UPDATE: CPD Arrests Suspect Linked to Saturday’s Stabbing
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have now arrested 26-year-old Ferris Witcher, after allegedly stabbing another man multiple times early Saturday morning.
Witcher is being held on a $265,000 bond under charges of attempted first degree murder, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault, aggravated robbery and felony reckless endangerment.
According to the arrest affidavit, Witcher stabbed 53-year-old Nathan Pearson multiple times in the face, neck and chest after Pearson gave Witcher a ride home from the KFC on Highway 58. That’s when Pearson says Witcher demanded money, and after he refused a struggle ensued.
After Pearson was stabbed, he jumped out of his car and called the police. That’s when Pearson says Witcher drove away in his vehicle.
Pearson told police he and Witcher had been friends for a number of years.
