Shooting in Cleveland leaves one injured

Cleveland Police are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday night.

Officers responded  the 1600 block of King Edward Avenue.

When police arrived on scene, they say they found Jesus Mendez suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

The victim identified the suspect as Wilmer Perez.

Officers say a few minutes later Perez was taken into custody and is being charged with attempted 2nd Degree Homicide.
