LATEST UPDATE: Chattanooga Police identify the shooting victims.
21-year-old Thomas Simmons died from his injuries.
21-year-old Deonte Evans has a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.
There’s no suspect information at this time.

MORE: Chattanooga Police say there were 9 shootings in 2015 and 3 homicides.
So far this year, there have been 7 shootings and now 1 homicide.
Those numbers do not include self-inflicted or acidental shootings.

LATEST: Chief Fletcher says this marks the 11th shooting so far this year.
It’s also Chattanooga’s first homicide of 2016.
Police do believe that it was gang-related.

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are working on a double shooting Monday afternoon.
The shooting was at 1300 Sheridan Avenue.
Police confirm there are two victims.
