Tractor trailer fire

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) You could see the smoke from miles around Wednesday afternoon.

A tractor trailer was on fire off Signal Mountain Boulevard behind Fire Station 17 in the parking lot near B&B Discount Sales.

Battalion Chief Don Bowman said when firefighters first arrived the entire front part of the 53-foot truck was engulfed in flames.

It took firefighters from 3 stations about 30 minutes to get the blaze under control.

No one was injured.

The cause is under investigation.
