Chattanooga Police Sergeant Indicted

Kevin Kincer turned turned himself to the Hamilton County Jail Wednesday afternoon.Very thorough and very lengthy investigation was conducted in which the entire building was inventoried and all of its contents. After this was concluded, we came to understand that there was evidence that a crime had been committed."

Kincer is a 22-year veteran with the Chattanooga Police Department.

He has been placed on administrative leave without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.

Kincer’s bond was set at $2,500.

He has since bonded out.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Kincer stole evidence out of the property room at the Chattanooga Police Department.

The investigation started on December 16th and just wrapped up.
