Multiple injuries in wreck off Battlefield Parkway in Ft. Oglethorpe

FT. OGLETHORPE, Georgia (WDEF) Four people were injured in a wreck before noon in Fort Oglethorpe.

It happened on Fant Drive, just a block off of Battlefield Parkway, in front of Battlewood Apartments and the Walmart Neighborhood Market.

Police say a pickup hydroplaned and lost control, hitting an SUV head on.

Two of the injured victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

One of them is a mother who suffered a broken bone.

Her children were not transported.

Since Erik’s report at noon, police say the drivers did NOT flee the scene, as some witnesses thought.

Right now, there are no charges, but that is pending the outcome of the traffic investigation.
