Boyd Buchanan Coach Grant Reynolds Leaving For Job at Madison Academy
Chattanooga-(WDEF) Boyd Buchanan head football coach Grant Reynolds has announced that he’s stepping down after spending twenty years at the school.
Reynolds is leaving to take the head coaching job at Madison Academy in Huntsville.
Reynolds spent ten years as an assistant coach with the Bucs before becoming the school’s head coach for the last ten years.
Boyd never missed the playoffs during his tenure as head coach, and they reached the state title game in 2009.
Said Reynolds-“I think it kinda shocked a lot of people today, through the media and things like that finding out about it. But I’ve gotten a lot of good emails and text messages today of people supporting me. It is exciting to be able to go and try to emulate some of the things I’ve done at Boyd-Buchanan in a different place.”
Boyd Buchanan has named assistant Carter Cardwell as the Bucs new head coach.
