Baylor Girls Basketball Team Will Shoot For First Ever State Championship

Chattanooga-(WDEF) The Baylor girls basketball team is back in the state Final Four for the second year in-a-row. The Red Raiders have never won a state championship in girls basketball, so making school history would be nice.
Baylor feels battle tested heading to Lipscomb University in Nashville because they’ve played a lot of road games this season.
They’ll also get an early wake-up call for their game with St Benedict on Friday.
Tip-off is at 11 am eastern time.
Said guard Kaleigh Clemons,”Early games are more exciting. You’ve just woken up, you’ve got a lot of energy to spare, so I think it’s a good thing for us.”
Said head coach John Gibson: “We played really well last year and got beat by Brentwood by six. We lead the whole game, we just didn’t finish. The one thing that these guys have done a better job of this year, we’ve learned how to win all close games.”
