McCallie Shooting For School’s First State Basketball Title

Chattanooga-(WDEF) The McCallie basketball team opens play in the state Final Four on Friday.
The Blue Tornado face the defending state champs in Brentwood Academy, who has already beaten McCallie twice this season.
McCallie hopes the third time is the charm as they seek the school’s first ever state title.
Said forward Henley Edge,”Our thing has been trying to break the cycle. We’ve been quarterfinalists for a few years in-a-row. Making sure we took that next step and got to Lipscomb has been a big deal for us.”
Shulman-“There’s no championship banners at McCallie for basketball. That’s the goal. It’s not the purpose of what we are doing out here, but it is the goal.”
McCallie and Brentwood Academy will tip at 12:30pm est on Friday at Lipscomb University in Nashville.
