Ringgold Opens State Baseball Playoffs With 7-3 Win Over Jackson Co

Ringgold, GA-(WDEF) The Georgia state baseball playoffs opened on Friday, and Ringgold posted a 7-3 win over Jackson Co in their
best of three series.
The Panthers got a run in the top of the first, but Ringgold grabbed the lead in the bottom of the second on a two-run homer to left by
Hunter Ricketts.
With the game tied at two in the bottom of the fifth, Ricketts delivered again with a double to the wall that scored Ty Jones to make it
3-2 Tigers.
Jackson Co got a run in the top of the sixth to tie the game, but then the Tigers added four runs in the bottom of the sixth
to seal the 7-3 game one victory.
