Bradley Central falls to Oak Ridge in the Semifinals
Today Bradley central hit the court with Oak ridge in the 3 A state semifinals Jamal Williams was at the game and has the story……
It is the state playoff and 2 great teams hit the court today. The Bradley Central Bearettes and the Oak Ridge lady wildcats who’s head coach Paige green actually was a Bearette in high school so this game could be a little personal for her…..
“I said yesterday it truly wasn’t about me i wanted all the focus to be on these oak ridge lady wild cats and even the Bradley Bearettes the players taking the focus off of me” said Green.
Well since coach green asked for it lets go to the game…. Bradley Central lead this one most of the way even though they struggled shooting it was there defense that really kept them in the game…
Coach Jason Reuter said “I thought our defense was fine you give up 38 points n the state tournament even if you are not a coach you say yea ill take that.”
Bearettes have been up most of the game lets fast forward to the 4th qtr and that lead is down to 2 points and here come the lady wildcats who take their first lead of the second half with 2 minutes to play off this 3 point shot from Jadakiss guinn.
“These girls have played so many tight games and they have come out on top every times this post season except one today” said Reuter.
Like coach said bradley just couldn’t pull this one out they were out scored in the 4th 17 to 6 and lost 38 to 31 but it’s hard to win games period when you shoot 25 percent from the field.
Coach Reuter said “you know just one play and we are over here and we are laughing and we are smiling instead of sitting here broken hearted that’s just basketball it’s a lot like life.”
