Finley Stadium Plans Discussed

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF) – The director of Finley Stadium is trying to put fans in the stands, and one way he’s doing that is by looking into selling alcohol at events.

In the past they’ve had an outside company run their concession stand, but now they want to do it themselves.

Stadium leaders also want to host concerts and help develop Chattanooga FC Soccer.

Their long term goal is to bring high school football back to Finley Stadium.

Paul Smith, the Director of Finley Stadium, says, "There’s just not enough high school football here. To enhance the enviroment and improve it, so that when people come to enjoy a Mocs game now that Coach Huesman has done such a great job winning, we want to make sure when people get here they have a good experience."

There’s no word on when or if those changes will be made.
