Brainerd Guard Kentrell Evans Signs With Lee Flames

Chattanooga-(WDEF) Brainerd senior guard Kentrell Evans has signed to play college basketball at Lee University.
He signed at the Eastdale Recreation Center in front of several family and friends.
Evans helped lead the Panthers to the state tournament three years in-a-row, including the state championship game in 2016.
Brainerd coach Levar Brown says the Flames are getting a good basketball player and an even better young man.
Said Brown:”There are Fortune 500 companies in this city right now that want to hire this boy today. Because he walk with God. Period. They didn’t know he could play basketball. Basketball aside, I’ve never met a young man like this.”
Said Evans:”It means a lot man. It’s a big accomplishment. Some of the first people in my family to actually sign basketball. Just preparing for my future and getting my degree.”
