Red Bank softball heads to state for first time in 15 years
RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) — Red Bank softball hasn’t made it to the state tournament in over 15 years. The last time the Lions made the trip to Murfreesboro — they won the whole darn thing. Lions on their way to do it again with a Saturday night sectionals win against Upperman.
Two late runs courtesy of Zoe Helms and Bailee Phillips secured a 5-2 win.
Red Bank will make it’s first trip to Spring Fling since 2005. Sale Creek also won its Saturday sectionals game against Greenback, 6-0. Both will be in Murfreesboro next week.
