Man dies after crashing into a dirt mound near the I-24 split

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Chattanooga police are investigating a fatal crash that left a man dead Sunday.

Police say that a 30-year-old man was headed East on I-24 near the 24/75 split around 4 Sunday morning.

Investigators don’t know hwy–but his Chevy Impala left the road and hit a large dirt mound.

The driver died on the scene.
