Teen shot in Chattanooga while riding in a car during the night

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga police are investigating another shooting from overnight.

18 year old Seth Hardnett said he was riding in a vehicle on Duncan Avenue  around 1:30 AM.

He says a dark colored sedan pulled up next to his vehicle and someone opened fire.

Hardnett told the driver he had been hit, so they took him to the hospital.

His wound was to the buttocks and is non-life threatening.

Police did not get any further suspect information.

As for Hardnett, he has outstanding warrants.

Records show he was charged with assault on New Years Day.

So police will be arresting him as soon as he is released from the hospital.
