Lookouts Nick Gordon Leads Chattanooga in 8-1 Win Over Pensacola

(lookouts.com) CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Nick Gordon had three hits and two RBI as the Chattanooga Lookouts beat the Pensacola Blue Wahoos 8-1 on Friday.

Trailing 1-0 in the second, Pensacola tied it up when Brian O’Grady hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Alex Blandino.

Chattanooga answered in the bottom of the inning, scoring five runs to take the lead. The Lookouts sent 11 men to the plate as Gordon hit a two-run single and then scored on a single by Engelb Vielma en route to the five-run lead.

The Lookouts later tacked on a run in both the third and seventh innings. In the third, Gordon scored on a single before he doubled to score Levi Michael in the seventh.

Chattanooga right-hander Randy LeBlanc (1-1) picked up the win after allowing one run on seven hits over five innings. Opposing starter Luis Castillo (1-2) took the loss in the Southern League game after allowing five runs and five hits over 1 2/3 innings.
