Lady Vols ‘Peaking at the Right Time’

Might be hard to think of the tradition rich Lady Vols as a Cinderella team in the Big Dance, but they did upset second seeded Arizona State Sunday to advance to the Sweet 16.
Tennessee certainly didn’t look like the same squad that suffered through an 8-8 record in the SEC this season.
Said head coach Holly Warlick-“We played 18 teams that are in this tournament. It was a very, very difficult schedule for a team that hadn’t played a lot together.”
Said guard Jaime Nared-“We had 12 losses on our season. I think it’s just a credit to how each and every person on this team is just a fighter.”
Adde Warlick-“Right now, I think we’re playing the best basketball of the year. If we’re going to peak, I think it’s a great time to peak right now.”
Tennessee will play Ohio State in the Sweet 16 this Friday in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
