Red Bank fires police chief Tim Christol

RED BANK, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Red Bank City Manager fired police chief Tim Christol on Wednesday Morning.

Randall Smith tells us it is a personnel issue, so he is unable to discuss it further.

Christol served as chief for Red Bank for seven years.

He was also a finalist for chief of Cleveland in 2015.

Smith chose Sgt. Tom Wright to serve as the interim chief.

The city will immediately begin a search for a new chief, but it could take up six months to finish.
