Looking Ahead to March 24, 2016
The public is invited to attend an official Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Chattanooga, Police Department and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
All of the entities involved have worked closely together to strengthen the collective mission of better support and investigate crime on campus, specifically sexual assault and domestic violence.
The event takes place at 10:30 this morning.
Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger and the Chattanooga-Hamilton County 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War Commemoration Committee will hold a Raising of the Commemorative Flag Event this afternoon.
The ceremony will recognize, honor and thank all Vietnam veterans and their families that served in Vietnam.
It starts at 1PM on the second floor rotunda of the historic Hamilton County Courthouse.
Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley is admitting that he made inappropriate remarks to a female staffer two years ago, but says he never had a physical relationship with the woman.
Bentley spoke out on Wednesday after the state’s former top law enforcement official made a series of accusations.
That official, former Law Enforcement Secretary Spencer Collier, was fired Tuesday.
The governor divorced last year after Dianne Bentley said their marriage had suffered a breakdown.
