Gordon Lee Sweeps Irwin Co to Win Elite 8 Baseball Playoff Series

Chickamauga, GA-(WDEF) The Gordon Lee baseball team swept Irwin Co 11-0 and 7-4 on Wednesday to advance to the state baseball playoff semifinals.
In game one of the Elite 8 series with Irwin Co, the Trojans jumped on the board in the bottom of the first on a long, two-run homer from Noah Peterson.
Dylan Minghini was the next batter, and he hit a solo homer to make it 3-0.
Justin Wooden closed out the scoring in the first with an RBI base hit.
Gordon Lee got the 11-0 victory in five innings.
