TBI investigating courtroom altercation in Bradley County

CLEVELAND (WDEF) – District Attorney General Stephen Crump has opened an investigation into a courtroom incident on Thursday.

A corrections officer and an inmate got into a confrontation during the afternoon session of the Bradley County General Sessions Court.

Sheriff Eric Watson requested that the TBI look into whether excessive force was used.

And the D.A. began that investigation Thursday afternoon.
