4th Superintendent Candidate Has In- Person Visit
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Thursday was the fourth day of interviews for the Hamilton County Schools superintendent position.
Superintendent candidate Dr. Bryan Johnson had his first in-person visit in the Hamilton County School district. He is currently the Chief Academic Officer for Clarksville-Montgomery County School System in Tennessee.
Thursday, he went to schools and met with elected officials and stakeholders. He then met with community members and answered their questions.
Dr. Johnson’s day ended with being interviewed by the school board. One question he was asked was what it means to be a superintendent.
Dr. Johnson says a superintendent’s job is to be all things to everyone has much as they possibly can.
“I feel like their is an obligation for me to do that. That is what I have tried to do in my career and frankly that is what has allowed me to be successful,” Dr. Johnson said.
On Friday, the final candidate, interim superintendent Dr. Kirk Kelly, will go through the interview process.
