Workplace Shooting In Orlando Hits Home Here in The Scenic City
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Friends and Family members are rembering those killed in the workplace shooting near Orlando, Florida.
They gathered at a church near Fiamma, Inc., where five people were killed, Monday.
Chattanooga jeweler, Rick Davis, was at the vigil.
Davis’ son, 46-year-old Kevin Lawson, was one of the five gunned down, after a disgruntled former employee opened fire.
Lawson was born in Chattanooga, and previously served in the Army.
“If you haven’t hugged your kid today. Do it now. You don’t ever know how quick it will be,” said Rick Davis.
On the “Rick Davis Gold and Diamonds” Facebook Page, a post from today says, “We would just like to take this time to thank everyone for their kind words and well wishes!”
Services for Lawson are planned for Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home in Longwood, Florida.
