Motorcyclist killed in Ft. Payne on July 4th

FORT PAYNE, Alabama (WDEF) – Fort Payne police report that a young motorcyclist was killed in a crash on July Fourth.

It happened in the Pack Road area of Sylvania Gap.

21-year old Timothy Ledon Smith was found in a grassy areas just off the road.

Traffic investigators found no evidence that a second vehicle was involved.

Smith was not wearing a helmet.
