McCallie Baseball Coach Greg Payne Steps Down

(School Release) — Varsity baseball coach Greg Payne has resigned from McCallie School
effective immediately. Coach Payne made the decision to step down based on personal
reasons unrelated to his work at McCallie.
McCallie would like to thank Coach Payne for his service to the school and baseball
program over the past four years, and we wish him happiness and success as he begins a
new chapter in his life.
The team has enjoyed great success under Coach Payne’s leadership, including an
outstanding 2016 season and a deep playoff run. The program has a strong foundation
moving forward into 2017.
A search for McCallie’s next baseball coach will begin very soon.
