3 men charged with drunk & disorderly after charging a police station in North Carolina
BRYSON CITY, N.C. (WDEF) – An uncle and his two nephews face a variety of charges after making threats against police this weekend in the North Carolina mountains.
Officers say the three were at a downtown bar in Bryson City about 1 AM on Sunday.
They saw a police officer follow a vehicle.
Two off duty officers heard them yell at the squad car “F— the police, let’s kill us a cop.”
Then the ran across the square right at the police department.
Two officers at the station quickly brought them to a halt at gunpoint.
None of the three had a weapon.
But they face a variety of charges including public drunkenness and inciting a riot.
The Bryson City Police Department posted this warning to other agencies on their Facebook page afterwards.
” All Law Enforcement Agency’s please be on high alert as this horrible act unfolded on our front steps.”
