Lookouts Overcome Five Errors to Beat Jacksonville on a Walk-Off Winner

(lookouts.com) CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Max Murphy scored the winning run on a fielder’s choice in the ninth inning, as the Chattanooga Lookouts beat the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 5-4 on Thursday.
Murphy scored the game-winning run after he reached base on a walk and advanced to third on a double by T.J. White.
Earlier in the inning, White doubled, scoring LaMonte Wade to tie the game 4-4.
The Jumbo Shrimp took a 4-3 lead in the top of the seventh when Brian Anderson scored on a fielder’s choice.
Only one of Jacksonville’s runs was earned as the Jumbo Shrimp took advantage of five Lookouts errors.
Paul Clemens (3-0) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Daniel Schlereth (0-1) took the loss in the Southern League game.
Anderson tripled and doubled, scoring two runs for the Jumbo Shrimp.
