THP looking for Mitsubishi for fatal Coffee Co hit and run
COFFEE CO., Tennessee (WDEF) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help in finding the driver who hit a pedestrian along a country highway in Coffee County.
It happened on Highway 41 in the Noah community north of Manchester on Monday.
79 year old Arthur Mantone Jr. was hit while checking his mailbox.
His 100 year old father was in their car when it happened.
The father didn’t see the incident, but eventually got out to find his son lying in the driveway.
Investigators say there was vehicle damage left at the scene, including a side mirror from an older Mitsubishi Gallant.
They checked a nearby security camera and identified it as champagne-colored.
