Top Ranked Carver Eliminates Heritage Girls in the Elite Eight

Ringgold, GA-(WDEF-TV) The Heritage girls basketball team played in the Elite Eight of the state tournament for the first time in school history on Wednesday night. Too bad they had to face the state’s elite team in Class AAAA. The Generals were no match for top-ranked Carver-Columbus. The Tigers won 71-43 to improve to 30-0 on the year. Sarah Bandy led Heritage with 16 points. Olivia Cochran had a game high 21 points for Carver. The 6’1 Cochran is listed as the nation’s 32nd best prospect according to ESPN for the class of 2020.
