Fire forces evacuations at Fountain Plaza

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga fire crews responded to a call at Fountain Plaza on Lee Highway this morning.

The alarm came in a 8:29 AM.

When the first crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the Epic Sports Bar and Grill.

They found the fire in a storage room next to the restaurant’s kitchen and quickly put it out.

While several businesses were evacuated as a precaution, no one was hurt by the fire.

The cause is under investigation.
