Silverdale Gets Strange Playoff Game
Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) Silverdale has a weird playoff game Friday.
The Seahawks are the home team, but they aren’t playing at home.
And they’re facing a team that has a school address in Mississippi.
That’s weird.
Northpointe Christian is from the Memphis area, and they’ll be playing Silverdale in Nashville at Lipscomb Academy, and the Mustangs should test the Seahawks pass defense.
Said defensive end Kyle Shoemaker:”Discipline for sure. They’re a great passing team. They’re very good going vertical. Just have to get hits on the quarterback and make sure we stay on our man.”
Said receiver Cam Mullins:”We’re going to have to shut down the pass. That’s what they like to do. So it’s going to be on the DB’s. No fly zone. That’s what it’s going to take.”
Reporter:”What has been the buzz around school?”
Said Mullins:”Just everything about this program. Just like Silverdale football is back. That’s really all there is to it.”
