Dade County arrest two & still looking for another suspect in Chop Shop

TRENTON, Georgia (WDEF) – The Dade County Sheriff says his deputies broke up a chop shop operation on Sand Mountain last week.

The responded to a property on Porter road on Wednesday afternoon.

Someone reported that a vehicle was being cut up.

When the deputies pulled up, they spotted two men running away.

The deputies found two stolen vehicles, a stolen camper and several cutting tools and torches.

After getting a search warrant, they found an illegal gun and drugs at the residence.

38 year old Jeremiah Dalton of Flat Rock was arrested at the scene on a warrant out of Trenton, plus giving officers a false name.

The other fleeing man was 36 year old Charles Gass of Trenton.

He has been charged with running a Chop Shop and other charges.

Dade CountyInvestigators are also looking for a third suspect, 35 year old Steven D. Wooten of Trenton.

They have warrants for him on receiving stolen property and operating a Chop Shop.
