Deputy and Two Inmates Injured in Whitfield County after Explosive Crash

WHITFIELD COUNTY (WDEF/WGLC)- Investigations are underway as two inmates and a deputy were transported to a local hospital in Hall County, Georgia after a crash involving a squad car and a vehicle towing a camper.

The incident happened on Hwy 52 and Clark’s Bridge Rd where fire services found the deputy’s car and the Dodge pick-up truck towing the camper in flames.

CBS46 reports that none of the victims held any major injuries.

Georgia State Patrol identifies that it was 23-year-old Deputy Rosalia Pacheco-Hernandez who was the driver and the two inmates that she was transporting was 30-year-old Hillary Mchan and 33-year-old Amanda Townsend.

The other victims in the crash are identified as Steven Lawrence and Tenee Therese Gallo, both 57.

According to Georgia State patrol, the crash was caused by Deputy Pacheco-Hernandez when failing to stop at a stop sign and when impacting the camper it caused for it to flip on its side as seen in the tweet from CBS46 below.

No charges have been brought on Deputy Pacheco-Hernandez.
