Recount shows Randall Franks loses re-election by just 3 votes
Earl Henderson narrowly gets back on the Ringgold Council
RINGGOLD, Georgia (WDEF) – Catoosa County has released the results of a recount into the Ringgold City Council race last week.
Officials say the recount affirms the November 2 results that show challenger Earl Henderson defeating incumbent Randall Franks by just 3 votes.
Kelly Bomar – 285 votes
Earl Henderson – 220 votes
Randall Franks – 217 votes

Earl Henderson
Henderson was on the city council once before in 2013.
He was the first African American to ever win a race in Ringgold.
Randall Franks has been a long time booster of Ringgold and Catoosa County.
In addition to his time on the city council and supporting local tourism, Franks is a noted bluegrass musician and former actor on the TV series “In The Heat of the Night.
