Rocky Face Mountain fire update
ROCKY FACE, Georgia (WDEF) – Tuesday is another busy day for fire crews in north Georgia.
Georgia Forestry officials report seven new fires since midnight from Cherokee County to the Tennessee line.
The Rocky Face Mountain continues to be a problem.
It jumped over the mountain before dawn on Monday and moved southward.
But it remains in the large containment zone.
Forestry and Whitfield County firefighters continue to watch one home at the foot of the mountain that is threatened.
People driving along I 75 north of Dalton say the fire looks even smokier so far on Tuesday.

There’s a Dragon with matches that’s loose on the town
Takes a whole pail of water just to cool him down
