Madison Co Knocks Heritage Out of State Softball Playoffs

Ringgold, GA-(WDEF) The Heritage softball team saw their season come to an end as they lost a double header to Madison County in the state playoffs by a score of 5-4 in both games.
In game two, the Generals trailed 4-3 going into their last at-bat in the top of the seventh.
With Bailey Christol on third, she scored on a high pitch that got away from the catcher.
That tied the game at four.
But in the bottom of the seventh, the Raiders got a runner on third as well in Brooke Hooper.
Heritage relief pitcher Rachel Gibson then threw a low pitch that got away from the catcher.
The ball kicked back towards third base.
Generals third baseman Ashley Faulkenberry grabbed the ball and tried to tag Hooper but she barely missed her.
Hooper scored to give Madison Co the 5-4 victory.
