TDFN12: Cookeville at Bradley Central Highlights
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The goal of every playoff team is to make it to Cookeville, but this year, Cookeville came to Bradley Central.
The Bears opened post season play by entertaining the Cavaliers of Cookeville.
Bears happy to welcome starting QB Cole Copeland back to the field for the playoffs. On the opening drive, Copeland hit Lameric Tucker in stride but he can’t quite stay up. He rolls to a big gain.
Bears trying to finish that drive on 4th down and Copeland goes back to Tucker who can’t break the plane. That’s a turnover and Cavilers ball.
Not a bad way to start the game for Cookeville. But they didn’t do anything with it.
Cade Smith throwing from his own endzone, and it is intercepted by Jake Presley to give the ball right back to the Bears.
Bradley would settle for 3 after the turnover.
So the Cavaliers trailing when Smith keeps it and goes 12 yards into the endzone for the touchdwon. That put Cookeville on top 7 to 3.
The Bears would respond – Copeland going to Dylan Standifer who pulls in the pass in the back of the endzone to put the Bears back on top as they hold on in a close one to advance with a 29 – 25 win.
