Chattanooga Police investigating N. Chamberlain Ave shooting

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot just after noon on Sunday.

Police say the female victim was walking in the 1200 block of N. Chamberlain Avenue when it happened.

According to police, the victim thought she heard a firecracker, but then discovered she had been shot.

Police say the the victim flagged down a passing motorist who transported her to a hospital.

Police also say that the victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening.

According to Chattanooga Police, there is no suspect description nor suspect vehicle information available at this time.
