UPDATE: Robbery and Shooting at Local Motel

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Police Department responded to the 900 block of Carter Street last evening on reports of a person shot.

Delane Carlos Price, 42, was found suffering from a gunshot wound and pronounced deceased on the scene.

Price was attempting to rob two people when he was shot by robbery victim Stan Lindsey, 59.

Chattanooga Police Department’s Violent Crimes Bureau continues to investigate this incident and ask anyone with additional information to call 423-698-2525.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police investigate a fatal shooting at a local motel.

Police got the call this evening at the Days Inn on Carter Street of a person shot.

They found a deceased man at the scene.

Investigators have not identified him at this point, and his family has not been notified.

A person of interest is now in custody.
