Authorities arrest suspects in a carjacking on Monday

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – A carjacking in East Brainerd Monday ended with an arrest in Fort Oglethorpe.

Hamilton County investigators say two suspects confronted people in a car at gun point and took it from them.

A few hours later, the stolen Ford compact was spotted at Cloud Springs Lodge on Pine Grove Road in Fort Oglethorpe.

Georgia troopers, Catoosa & Hamilton County deputies joined Fort Oglethorpe police in arresting two suspects.

They are 25 year old Sharoon Shafqat Pervez and 25 year old Eric Logan Barde.

They will face carjacking and aggravated assault charges.

Investigators recovered the vehicle and a weapon matching the description of the victims.
