Florida Ready to Tackle Alabama as Big Underdog in SEC Title Game

Alabama beat Florida 29-15 last year in the SEC title game.
And the beat-down is expected to be worse in Saturday’s SEC Championship game, as the top ranked Tide looks to bounce the Gators on their way to the college football playoffs.
Given how Alabama has played so far this year, ever wonder how long opposing coaches really want to watch the Tide on film?
Reporter:”Hope you are not still violently ill from watching Alabama film.”
Chuckles Florida head coach Jim McElwain:”I’ve recovered a little bit. I’ve had flashbacks to some of the practices there. Whoo.”
Probably makes the Florida players a little ill to be a three touchdown underdog in your league’s title game.
Reporter:”Have you ever been a 21 point underdog?”
Said defensive back Marcell Harris:”21 point underdog? I’ve been an underdog, and we came out and beat a lot of teams being the underdog so it doesn’t really change.”
Reporter:”You guys are 21 point underdogs. Can you believe that?”
Said Florida defensive lineman Khairi Clark:”I mean yeah. Bama has been known to win. They’re going to go for the winning team usually, but a lot of people underestimate us, but it motivates us in the end. So come out and get the victory and work hard.”
Said Florida offensive lineman Fred Johnson:”Coming out there like not let the Bama mindset get to you and just come out there with that added ooph that we are here and ready to go get it.”
Bama knows first hand that Florida will bring that added ooph.
Said Tide offensive lineman Ross Pierschbacher:”As far as the SEC Championship, you know I remember last year this was probably one of if not the most physical games we played against. They’ve got a really good defense, and they’re very downhill.”
Said Tide head coach Saban:”This time of year is really sort of a test of your almost mental fortitude. I think everybody is probably pretty tired of practicing after playing this many games. Probably don’t always feel great.”
The goal is to finish with the victory and the SEC title.
Said McElwain:”They’re a heck of a team, but I will tell you this, we are too, and our guys are going to come out and play their tails off.”
