Cleveland Beats Rival Bradley Central to Stay Unbeaten in District Play
Cleveland, TN (WDEF) – Cleveland beat rival Bradley Central 71-44 on Friday night at Raider Arena to remain unbeaten in district play.
Both the Bears and Blue Raiders got off to a sluggish start in the first quarter before Cleveland pushed ahead 16-7 to finish the first period.
The Blue Raiders KK Curry proved to be a matchup problem for Bradley Central.
He hurt the Bears inside, especially in the first half. Curry scored 20-points.
Thanks to Curry, Cleveland stretched their lead to 39-20 at halftime.
The Blue Raiders Deontae Davis pretty much derailed any Bradley Central comeback by hitting four 3-pointers in the third quarter as Cleveland went up 59-33 heading into the final quarter.
Cole Copeland handled most of the scoring for Bradley Central finishing with 20 points.
Cleveland improves to 17-2 overall and 7-0 in district play, while Bradley Central falls to 11-7 overall and 5-2 in district action.
Both of the Bears losses in district play came against their cross-town rival.
