Police still looking for suspect who took pastor’s truck

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police say they have leads on who may have taken a pickup belonging to a Hixson pastor on Sunday.

Pastor Jimmie Talley left his white Toyota Tacoma running as he quickly went into The Ministry Center Sunday morning. But when he ran back, his truck was gone.

Surveillance cameras show a man getting out of a black vehicle, driven by a woman, who then hopped in the truck and drove away.

Sunday night, Railroad police called the CPD to report the vehicle on the other side of the river, at 3800 Lightfoot Mill Road, not far from Highway 153. It was abandoned and out of gas.

Pastor Talley says he hopes the suspects are found and he is saddened by this incident.

“Normally, church and the church property, they are a refuge for others from these things that we see in the world. So it was disappointing that something like this would happen on church property,” Pastor Talley said.

If you have any information, you are asked to call Chattanooga Police.
