Flu cases still rising at Erlanger

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Erlanger Health System reports that the number of flu cases continues to climb in our area.

The number of cases grew by 44% last week.

But this is the statistic that shows how bad the season has been so far.

By this point of last year’s flu season, Erlanger Health Systems had treated 84 patients.

So far this year, they have seen 546 cases.

“Medical specialists continue to urge area residents who have not been vaccinated to do so, noting according to the CDC flu activity often peaks between December and February and can last into May.”
