Mocs Coach Jim Foster One Win Away From 900th Career Victory

Chattanooga-(WDEF) UTC women’s basketball coach Jim Foster has a chance to join some elite company on Saturday.
The Hall of Fame coach got his 899th career win Thursday night against Samford.
On Saturday against Mercer, Foster can become just the 8th coach in NCAA history to reach 900 wins.
Whenever that victory does come, don’t expect a big celebration from Coach Foster.
Said Foster:”You know if you come to my house, you have no idea what I do for a living. I have a life outside of basketball. I don’t think in those terms. I don’t. Maybe some day when I’m sitting with a nice glass of Cabernet and good company, maybe I will reflect on it a little bit. But right now, we’re playing as good a team as we’ve played all year Saturday. So I’m not thinking about anything other than how good Mercer is.”
Mercer is 19-2 on the year. The Mocs and Bears tip at 2pm on Saturday.
