Cleveland Daily Bread facing building code problem
There’s a major plumbing problem that is jeopardizing their daily plans.
This comes after they’ve successfully passed the health department and the fire marshal’s inspection.
They serve close to 75 people there each night, and they can usually eat on the inside.
One of their main pipes has a large crack in it, because of that neither of their bathrooms are functional and that goes against their building code.
Volunteer, Tony Richardson, said they cannot let people inside to eat because of this violation, but they do have a solution.
“To continue our service to the community here we’re going to have to make some arrangements to where we make the meals so they can take with them, or they can sit outside and eat, but I just want the community to be assured that they’re still going to be fed and those people are going to be served.”
That plan is only for Monday and Tuesday.
The director of the Cleveland Daily Bread says they are currently looking for another place to set up and serve meals to those who need it in Cleveland.
