Red Bank Fires Head Football Coach Chad Grabowski

Red Bank high school has fired head football coach Chad Grabowski.
In a news release from the school, principal Elaine Harper said it was in the best interest of the program to make a change.
Grabowski took over the Lions program in 2014.
They went to the playoffs in all four years under Grabowski.
This past season the Lions made it all the way to the semi-final of the state playoffs before losing to eventual state champion Alcoa.
Grabowski and his players were shocked by his dismissal.
Said Grabowski:”I was just pulled into a meeting. Was told they had decided to go in a different direction. They appreciated everything that I had done for the program, and that was about it.”
Said Lions senior running back Zay Brown:”I had weight training with him, and that’s when he told us. He kind of teared up a little bit. I kind of teared up a little bit. That’s my coach.”
Said junior receiver Calvin Jackson:”He’s getting me recruited by big colleges. I hope that me and Coach ‘G’ stay in touch, and he helps me through all of that.”
