Fisherman loses pickup in Lake Chickamauga

He was trying to back in at a boat ramp this morning

SODDY-DAISY, Tennessee (WDEF) – A lot of boat people can commiserate with a fisherman from Soddy Daisy tonight.
He was trying to put a boat in Lake Chickamauga on Tuesday morning at a ramp on Armstrong Road.
The fisherman was backing his boat and trailer toward the water, but didn’t realize there was a large drop off below the water line.
The rear tire went over the edge and the driver couldn’t save his pickup.
Sale Creek Volunteer Fire crews tried to help him fish it all out.
Eventually, it took a tow truck to pull the pickup, trailer and boat out of the lake.
The boat and trailer are salvageable, but his Dodge pickup is a total loss.
